What does somatic mean?

~ where science meets spirit ~

It is a therapeutic approach that recognises how trauma and stress are stored not just in our minds, but in our bodies and nervous systems. My work helps you release these patterns through body awareness, movement, and breath, creating deep, lasting healing that talk therapy alone cannot always reach.

My integrated practice combines somatic psychotherapy with neuroscience principles, providing a unique framework that addresses the whole person—not just the symptom. This allows clients to build lasting safety within themselves and break free from unhealthy cycles.

Rooted in the Body, Guided by the Stars

My work is grounded in Hakomi, a mindfulness-centred somatic modality, and is deepened by Visionary Craniosacral Work.

Hakomi is a client-led experiential approach that uses present-moment body awareness, to gently access and transform core organising beliefs - the often unconscious rules that shape our lives. It is less about analysing the past and more about curiously exploring the now. Think of it as a loving conversation between your mind and your body.

This is powerfully complemented by the subtle, profound support of craniosacral work, which listens to and supports the body’s innate wisdom and capacity for reorganisation and healing at the deepest levels of the nervous system.

Together, they form a holistic approach that facilitates profound, system-wide change that is both organic and enduring, moving beyond behavioural modification to address the root of personal challenges.

what a session is like

/peace is an inner alignment, a freedom in the body, clarity in the mind, and a lightness in the heart /

We are spiritual beings having a human experience.  Each of us have a divine map - a unique curriculum of potentials, challenges, and destinies crafted by our souls for our own evolution.

Between the cosmic map and our lived experience lies the critical realm of choice.  This is where free will is exercised - as a moment-to-moment embodied practice.

Free will is our capacity to act from a place of conscious alignment, where spirit, mind and body are integrated.

This is where the intelligence of the body becomes our essential guide. The body is not a vehicle for the soul; it is the soul’s manifest instrument and record-keeper.

The more we are aware of all the parts of ourselves, the more empowered our choices become.

A somatic psychotherapy session helps us to:

  • decode the somatic language of our bodies

  • release the protective armouring that keeps us stuck in our karmic loops

  • regulate the nervous system to create safety required for conscious choice instead of reactive fear

  • embody the highest expression of our personal growth

Take time to listen to our bodies. Become conscious co-creators of our lives, fully aligned with the spirit that animates us all.

From Yoga Student

“It's incredible how different your class is from all the others. I'm not just talking about the class, but all the energy involved.“

Of all the classes I've been to, yours is the only class where no one gets up when the class ends, everyone just sits there waiting for more. Once again, your class was fantastic and that this has helped me a lot.

From Private Client

“A million percent this is what I needed.”

A pause to be with my womb who is the main character of my journey. To get out of my head. To be in a safe space.  To be held, heard and seen with care.  I feel safe now. I feel strong.
